Moncton, April 30, 2021 — The Electrifying Night Run, presented by Dooly’s, returns for a 6th edition from June 7 to 14. Walkers and runners are invited to participate in the event that raises funds to offer better care to patients of the Dr. George-L.-Dumont Hospital’s Breast Health Center.
“Following the success of the 2020 Run, we are proud to announce its comeback in its virtual format,” says Nadine Martin, Executive Director of the CHU Dumont Foundation. “Last year, thanks to the generous support of our community, we were able to raise $28,000.”
This year again, participants are invited to walk or run on their favourite course and to share a photo or a video of their accomplishment. There are many participation prizes to be won.
“We are proud to see that the support of the community towards the Run is still as strong as ever,” says Dr. Jocelyne Hébert, surgeon at the Breast Health Center, and member of the organizing committee. “The support shown during the event allows for continuous improvement, thereby benefiting each patient of the Centre.”
The event’s main sponsor is pleased to be involved for the third year in a row. “Dooly’s is extremely proud to once again be the presenting sponsor of the Electrifying Night Run. So many people in our communities need the resources provided through this event and our Dooly’s family is no exception. We are very grateful to all sponsors and participants for taking time out of their busy lives and doing their part to help those who need our support.”
The Breast Health Centre in Moncton offers a complete and comprehensive breast health program, including prevention, screening and early diagnostic testing to every woman who is referred. Thanks to the integrated approach practised at the Breast Health Centre, women benefit from the services and care of a multidisciplinary team all under one roof in an innovative and integrated environment.
