Planned Giving

Plan your donations

Planned gifts may be made through financial, tax or estate planning. It provides an opportunity to commit today to making a donation at a later time.

Here are some examples of planned gifts:

  • A bequest allows you to name the CHU Dumont Foundation as the beneficiary of a gift of cash, the proceeds of a retirement fund, or other assets. You can bequeath a particular asset, or all or part of your estate in your will.
  • A life insurance policy allows you to make a substantial donation at a minimal cost to you. A fully paid life insurance policy can be transferred to the Foundation; you can purchase a new policy naming the Foundation as beneficiary; or you can simply bequeath an existing policy to the Foundation. In addition, when you purchase a new life insurance policy with the Foundation as the owner and irrevocable beneficiary, you are entitled to an official donation receipt for the value of the premiums paid each year.
  • Investment donations allow you to donate securities, stocks, and listed securities on the stock market or any other investment on your behalf

Different options are available to you if you’d like to make a planned gift to the Foundation. We recommend consulting a lawyer or a financial planner who will be able to advise you throughout this process.
