Moncton, N.B. August 10, 2023 – Sébastien Dupuis, Chairman of the CHU Dumont Foundation’s Board of Directors, is pleased to announce that Gilles Allain is the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Allain has a bachelor’s degree in Information Communication from the Université de Moncton and has held various positions in communications and philanthropy throughout his career. During the pas seven years, he was CEO of the Chalmers Hospital Foundation in Fredericton.
By taking on this role, the CEO is returning to his roots, having formerly occupied the position of Director of development at the CHU Dumont Foundation from 1998 to 2002. “We are thrilled that Gilles has agreed to return to the Foundation to help make the changes recommended in our latest strategic plan”, Dupuis stated. Thanks to his experience in the field, coupled with his vision and leadership, he will be instrumental in rebuilding the team and guiding the growth of the organization.”
Created in 1983, the CHU Dumont Foundation directly supports the improvement of care offered at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. It plays a leading role in improving specialized care, research and teaching programs, as well as infrastructure and equipment. Since its beginnings, the CHU Dumont Foundation has raised more than $70 million through various fundraising activities, including the annual Tree of Hope campaign.
